We were warmly greeted upon arrival! The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. We are so glad we chose Avalon after his hospital stay. But we were not sad to get to go home either!! You will not be disappointed here! Thanks to all at Avalon!

My mom was there for about 2 weeks post-surgery and (for a nursing home) the care exceeded my expectation. The director of nursing and admissions coordinator were wonderful, and worked with me to ensure any concerns were listened to and addressed. PT and OT saw my mom almost every day and worked diligently to get her strength back to go home. It was also one of the few facilities that had a private room available, which was important to us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

First off, the obvious: no one wants to be in need of short or long term rehabilitative care and these reviews are pretty much the only data points available to make an assessment. Reading carefully, we realized that most of the poor reviews here were from when the facility was previously under a different owner/ manager. My mom just spent the last four months of her life at St. Francis in the long-term wing. The admissions process was very smooth (for a medicaid bed). The staff are amazing: professional, friendly, and compassionate. My mom received excellent care and was shown so much gentle kindness in her final days and hours. I am grateful beyond measure. 🙏🏽 Thank you James, Rani, Dani, Stephen, Ken, Kaitlin, and all of the other amazing staff!!

My mother had a stroke two years ago and has been very ill since then. Entering a skilled nursing facility due to that illness was, and still is not easy for her, and the previous staff and direction at St. Francis (now Avalon) was not particularly helpful. However, since the new administration took over the care has been nothing short of tremendous.
