My therapist, Aurora Dixon, is absolutely phenomenal. She listens carefully, is extremely empathetic and also challenges me to view things from a different perspective if I am stuck. She is able to blend multiple modalities. She is there to support what you are seeking therapy for not necessarily needing to understand your entire behavioral health history at intake. My therapist, Geoff, is amazing! I really enjoy my sessions and feel like he’s helping me. He is very good at asking the right questions at the right times! He gives me “things to think about or to do” after the sessions and he always has a topic to discuss each time rather than being like “so what’s up”.. I highly recommend Avance and Geoffrey!

I love Avance I feel like it’s the first place I’ve felt actually seen and cared for as a human being. Especially being part of the LGBT community; they’ve been so welcoming and every step of every visit has always been so easy. I feel so lucky to have found this place after the terrible experiences at Atrium and Novant for so many years. If you’re on the fence please give them a shot!

Adam Green has made a positive impact as a counselor. Having someone who listens and encourages personal growth can be transformative. He uses CBT therapy specific qualities or techniques that are beneficial to his patients needs.
