I went to dinner two nights ago as a guest of one of the residents and we waited more than an hour for our orders to be served. Two orders were cold. Carried my plate back to the kitchen entrance to complain and then waited another 15 minutes before it arrived back at my table. The food was high quality, but who in their right mind would sit for an hour to eat there. New management take note -- your dining room is a disaster!
The avocet is a beautiful place. Probably the best in Los Angeles- with the pool and lovely new apartments. However the dining room service has deteriorated markedly under the new ownership. They fired many lovely wait staff. We waited 1.5 hours-90 minutes for the dinner we ordered to be served. The food that came was cold. So we had to wait another 15 minutes.
