I would strongly advise not to conduct any business with this company. I am a NYC business owner with equipment financed through Balboa. During COVID outbreak when almost all NYC businesses were not generating any income I asked them about deferring payments - as most other financial institutions offered. These people told me “you have to apply for SBA, we are not offering any deferrals or any other options”. I did other leases with a company that sold them to Balboa. I decided to do a new lease for a machine and spoke to their Rep. He send me an email that said the number of payments with amounts and I signed the doc and sent the down payment. We have now paid $103.000 on what was to be $78000 and Balboa is saying i owe $80,000 more and they are going to ruin my credit. They should be shutdown before more people get ripped

This company is fraudulent and I am surprised they haven't been shut down by government agencies. Please, no matter how many times they call you asking to get a loan from them or lease equipment from them, DO NOT GO WITH IT! I wish I had read the reviews prior to working with this unethical company. I know through a source that local news agencies have tried to investigate their unscrupulous business practices and they haven't returned messaged. Avoid Balboa Capital Corporation at all costs! Atrocious is being nice. They approved a client for a whopping $20K. After the equipment arrived to Vegas all the way from Canada they decided to review and failed to fund. No reason, no call back, no nothing. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

This business is a fraud. I got signed up by another business call versitile merchant solutions. They leased me 2 tablets 2 printer and a cash draw. For my small business. I signed up this past april and nothing works I was on the phone with many people and got the loop around. Supposedly I got 3 months free so after 3 months I started getting phone call saying we need to get your tablets working and your menu downloaded. Still nothing worked. I got told that they need to send me new tablets cause they dont work. Never heard... read more

I also leave one star because that is required. That is a gift. I got associated with this company when I changed business phone service. Little did I know that the phones were financed through this organization. As a business owner in the financial services business (insurance), I deal with large business professionals on a daily basis. This company has the worst customer service I have ever encountered in 20 years of business. They added insurance fees to our invoices (we are an insurance agency). That One Star is only because I had to in order to continue. This is the worst finance institute that I have ever dealt with. I have paid my loan off. Wired the money I was told I would have my title in 10 days. I called 2 weeks late because I have not received my title and they said they need an address to send it too. Then they continue to tell me that it will take up to 10 business days. I have this piece of equipment sold and if I don't receive the title quickly I will lose my sale. I've asked numerous times to be removed from their email list... I've "unsubscribed" even more... Yet I still get UNSOLICITED emails weekly. Yes it's easy enough to mark them as spam and never see their email again, but for those that might want to be doing business with them... If they can't do this simple request of taking us off their email list, then how can you trust them in a more serious financial situation... I'd stay far, far away from this company.

These people and their brokers lie about everything they do! They changed, they scam our business by not delivering the right equipment?? PLEASE CHECK YOUR CONTRACT before you sign anything with these people. Oh, and try to call their customer service phone ? maybe if you are willing to wait for 90 minutes! absolute joke LOOK them up on the BBB right here!
