Enjoyed our 4 days at Ballard's Campground. Site E12 was quiet and it had a very nice and peaceful view. The staff was exceptionally good and very professional. During our stay, we received several packages which they were promptly notified to us, of their arrival. We did not use any facilities and cannot comment on that. We found the location easily accessible as we traversed route 66. Based on our experience, we highly recommend this campground.
Several Pads were cement, new and nicely level. 😁. Trees were mostly trimmed. Shady, gravel Roads a little skinny but we didn’t have any trouble getting our 35 ft + toad in. We did have a pull through which is always nice. Owner was friendly , efficient and helpful. We didn’t use showers or bathrm. It was so nice to have an owner/manager be so agreeable and efficient. If we’re ever back this way, this is where we’ll stay.
I was planning to stay 1 year . 1 month into my stay my RV got hit by a rock . They were using a weed eater instead of a lawn mower. I reported and owners said that wouldn’t happen again . The following week maintenance returned with the same weed eater again . Reported again to Management. Reassurance it wouldn’t happen again . Best campground ever! I love it here. The staff were excellent and super friendly. If their is a problem they are quick to respond and accommodating! I have lived here for 4 years and they have treated me with respect and with care! This is the best campground that I have ever been to. It's quite and far enough from the city. But if I were to go to town it's only 7 mins away. The location is perfect! The WiFi is excellent. I can stream all day (on my TV and computer.) They have a playground for kids. We were traveling on I44 in our RV and blew a trailer tire. Got off of the highway at their exit and up the road into their lot. Ran inside and asked if they minded us changing out our spare in their parking lot, they said please do! Next thing I know the owner had a floor jack under my trailer and lifted it for me. I had the spare off and changed in 10 minutes thanks to their genuine friendliness and helpfulness!!! GREAT family owned campground.
