Stopped in for dessert last night with friends. The restaurant is very old style cute and clean. We had apple cobbler, bread pudding and huckleberry ice cream. Everything was very tasty and portions are sharing size. Service was excellent

This black bear diner is so convenient and fun to go to. It's never too busy, and it has a great atmosphere and ambiance. The food like the other black bears is always delicious. The Reuben sandwich, hot open faced turkey plate, fried chicken plate, and nearly everything else is all delicious. The service is overall good too and there aren't many complaints with them. I totally get that it's weird to yelp a diner like black bear because it's everywhere, but I do have to say I have been to quite a few black bear diners. And this is probably my favorite one. Usually frequent the one in Pleasanton. But for whatever reason, we didn't feel like going to that one last night. So for a late dinner, we decided we wanted breakfast. Went there on 1/17/2026 at around 5PM. It was Prime Rib night. Could not pass that up! We ordered two medium rare (wife and I). It was PERFECT! Cooked to perfection, tender-melt-in-your-mouth perfection! Just a little (very little) fat as one might expect. Could not be more pleased. We had a great experience at Black Bear Diner! The food was comforting, fresh, and exactly what you hope for when you come here. Our waitress Michelle was absolutely wonderful--friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. She really added to the experience. We'll definitely be back!

I took advantage of the Black Bear Diner Birthday Club Reward and ordered the Bear's Choice Breakfast. I ordered two scrambled eggs, upgraded to two round sausage patties and French Toast. My wife ordered the Little Less Dinner Bear Paw Chicken Fried Steak. My eggs were nicely scrambled, thyme seasoning in the sausage was a bit overpowering and the toast was very good, crisp on the outside but moist on the inside. Went to Black Bear diner to celebrate hubby's birthday. Breakfast is the best. We were greeted when we walked in. We were seated right away and the hostess took our drink order. Our drinks were brought quickly. Our waitress arrived shortly after our drinks and took our order. She followed up with us during our meal and was friendly. Our food came out quickly. It was hot and the portions were perfect. The food was tasty. It is fun to see all the bears decorating the restaurant. The restroom was clean.

recently i go there when I entered in restaurant it just a wooooow staff was very nice and friendly and store was super clean and well maintained like every thing was designed perfectly i buy some food and orange juice taste was really great I really appreciate for that kind of service

Holy moly, the portions are huge! You definitely won't leave hungry. The menu is extensive, the staff is professional and efficient, and the food is tasty. I loved the vibe of the whole restaurant - imagine Great Wolf Lodge mixed with Bob Evan's.
