Holy moly, the portions are huge! You definitely won't leave hungry. The menu is extensive, the staff is professional and efficient, and the food is tasty. I loved the vibe of the whole restaurant - imagine Great Wolf Lodge mixed with Bob Evan's.

My first time here. Great attentive & friendly service the whole meal. I liked the coffee a lot. I ordered an eggs benedict and the presentation was impressive. A lot of food. The first few bites were delicious poached egg, English muffin, & bacon. Then the next bite wasnt good, a slightly off flavor. It was the thinly sliced tomato. Not sure why it tasted bad but I lost my appetite. Probably most diners would be ok with it, but the tomato off flavor ruined it for me. Sadly it went into the green waste can later. I got the Shasta burger and fries , And it came out in record time I ordered it from my room and by the time I walked down from my room to the restaurant it was already done and being bagged up , But I will say the bun was pretty soggy but besides that it was an amazing burger

All Black Bears aren't made alike. This location has a gem of a cook named Jose. He's been the cook during lunch the last 2 times I've been there and the guy knows how to put what I call " slap", on his meat. Yesterday I had a 10oz steak seasoned so well that it required no steak sauce (slap)!! A first for this carnivore who frequents steak houses regularly. Right off the Sycamore exit on 680 this diner has been a staple in the area . Great service and more than enough food for those hungry bellies . Ordered a Rueben sandwich with fries and a Bear's choice breakfast 2 eggs over hard 2 sweet cream pancakes , and 2 Italian sausage patties for additional $1.99 More than enough in the early morning afternoon . Martha was the shining light of the entire meal . Cheery , smiling , and so accommodating . Great breakfast experience . Love these homey type places ..... true comfort

We ate at the Black Bear Diner in Danville last night and it was a wonderful experience. My wife ordered the tri tip steak dinner. She said it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Her dinner was served with green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy and a biscuit. She commented to me how much she enjoyed her meal. I ordered the All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry dinner. Evelyn is the best manager I've ever met in my whole 39 years of life! She is sweet, nice kindest, awesome person. She will give you the best costumer service you'll receive in your whole life. I recommend you call ahead and ask when she's working and come see her when she is working. I highly recommend going to black bear diner and seeing the great staff. Great personalities here. Dylan took my order and he was very patient. Great experience
