We reserved the Banquet room for a family lunch. We had 24 people and our waitress Megan was fantastic. She gave us great service despite our loud and crazy group. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Thank you Megan and BB diner!

Where can I start? If it wasn't for MRS JANET MCNOWN, we wouldn't be in our first home at all! Good but not GREAT Met expectations. Service was reasonably fast, but the waiter totally lacked any enthusiasm. He wasn't rude, but he certainly didn't go out of his way to be friendly. I ordered my 3-deck turkey club with extra turkey in lieu of ham. There was less than 1 centimeter of turkey. The fries were fresh and crispy. The salad at Black Bear Diner is always good. Their blue cheese dressing is about the best you'll find anywhere. My friend ordered the chicken and avocado club. He seemed to like it. He upgraded to the sweet potato fries. They looked good. I'd eat here again, but I'd be sure to specify EXTRA turkey in place of the ham.

I had both dinner and breakfast at this Black Bear during my Best Western stay I had the lower-calorie vegetable omelet dinner that was delicious and could have easily been split by two light eaters (and they will gladly do that for you). The next morning we both had Chicken Fried Steak and eggs to start our trip north. The food was very good, service was quick and friendly even though they were busy and recovering from the Pandemic.

This was our first trip to Black Bear Diner in Brownsville Texas. The food was really good but what made the night was our waiter. Joe James was an amazing server. We mentioned we were not able to take my oldest out for her birthday the week before and at the end of the meal he brought cake and ice cream. Made the night!!!! We will be back and we will ask for Joe James again.
