Open B'fast, Lunch & Dinner The Hotel we stayed in was next door to the Diner and after a day of travelling we wanted somewhere close to have dinner. We had never seen or heard of the Black Bear Diner Chain before and were pleasantly surprised. The decor was great and the menu offered lots of choices and at reasonable prices. Portions were huge and the staff were great...very friendly and helpful with our menu choices.

Huge portions Breakfast was very good. Lovely and flavorful waffles. The hot sausage is excellent. Nice and spicy. Perfectly executed omelette and bacon. Nice hash browns. Biscuits are fluffy and very large. Super attentive and friendly service. Nice prices.

After not being acknowledged at IHOP in McMinnville while we were the only people in their lobby, six different times, by two different staff, we left. Then drove to the Black Bear Diner, where we have always had amazing food and great service. And today was no different. The Newberg, Oregon location is a cut above the rest of their peers in their industry as well as other Black Bear Diner’s.
