We had a great experience at Black Bear Diner! The food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A special shout-out to Cheryl, who took exceptional care of us--she kept our coffees full and provided truly outstanding service. If you're in Ventura, definitely check out Black Bear Diner. Highly recommended!

I was visiting Ventura from Los Angeles for an event. On the way back to LA. I stopped at Black Bear diner. I love the decor. It makes you feel like you're on top of a mountain. It's a big restaurant and it was very busy, but we were seated quickly & the service was excellent. I ordered eggs and biscuits with gravy and they were delicious. My friend ordered a basic eggs, hash, brown, bacon and toast and she was very satisfied. Anytime I'm in Ventura. I'm definitely gonna stop at the Black Bear Diner.

....and the award for best local big chain pancakes goes to this spot! Enjoyed a meal here with my BF and we were not disappointed. From the friendly greeting to the value-packed meals, everything was spot on. I enjoyed an avocado-topped California omelette, which was super fresh and filled with delicious sautéed mushrooms & jack cheese. Stopped by for breakfast for two! Cute place right by the freeway! The beach also isn't far so I recommend walking down there! Food was yummy! They also carry merch which I thought was the cutest thing ever! Service is also really kind and welcoming!!

I had Lilli as my server and it was probably some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Truly so sweet and attentive and made my experience here so pleasant!

We were visiting California and came across this restaurant on a night when we were really hungry. The food did not disappoint and our server, Scott, was fantastic! The food arrived very quickly and we were all taken care of. We had such a great experience that we returned the next night. Scott was our server again and he remembered us from our prior visit.

We live nearby and love coming here to grab a quick breakfast. Cheryl is our favorite server and she's always so friendly and helpful! We're always glad to see she's there when we get there. Good vibes and huge portions with tasty coffee - just has what you want out of a good diner.
