When we arrived, we spoke with a couple that visits Black Bear all over California. They asked where the health department score was. It was not posted. They were ahead of us and told us to go ahead cause if they could not provide the score, they were going to leave. I am guessing that they were not able to provide cause the couple left. Yelp shows 6/2025 score A, but the health department does more than just once a year so not sure how current the last score is. Food not bad. Tonight my husband was craving Meatloaf and of course we went to the closest place in town that we know has delicious meatloaf. We got there and Juan assisted us and from the beginning he was kind and efficient. He sat us and took our drink and food order quickly. He was so kind to get us our drinks and take all the orders around us even though the restaurant seemed short staffed. Our food was delicious, thanks to the chefs. we came to black bear diner for supper and enjoyed the meal. the meal was right size for my husband and myself and the pie was divine. the wait staff was friendly and helpful. Juan and Daisy was awesome will be going back!!!....

We stopped by to have breakfast. Had to wait for a few minutes because there was eight of us and they had to get a table ready. Service was good and the food was pretty good. Only drawback is the orange juice which was $6.99 a glass. it was fresh squeezed orange juice but still it's kind of expensive. Overall, you were satisfied will be back.

The service is amazing and helpful. The food is way better than Dennys or IHOP! Love the ambiance, it reminds me of going to the cabins and having breakfast!!! Recommend and trying Black bear diner for breakfast!!!
