In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedVery busy Sunday morning. Not a bad wait to be seated. Great waiter, had a long wait to get food, but were given complimentary Bear Claw and then waiter explained even his manager was in the back helping to get orders out- also got from the manager a plate of bacon. So once we got our food- everything was great/ food always good. We love Black Bear Diner.
