Very awesome place. Food was outstanding and the service was top notch. Nice calm environment and don't have to yell to be heard at my table. Very comforting atmosphere. Would definitely be coming back.

Ebony was an amazing server with great customer service! She suggested a new hot honey sauce that she created for our shrimp and grits and our chicken and waffles! Everything was so good we ate it all! The over all ambiance of the diner was just like an old school diner in the mountains in Tennessee!

This is my second visit. Great food with variety of breakfast options. Ebony took great care of us while managing a busy section. She explained the options to me about the pancake specials to help me make a sound choice. I love their Italian sausage and Huckleberry lemonade.

Black Bear quickly became one of our favorites for breakfast. The portions are huge and there are so many different things to choose from including vegetarian and healthier options. Service has always been great, from the wait staff to the amount of time we're waiting on the food. Aside from the food, they have a tiny gift shop at the entrance. Very organized. Seated promptly. They conveniently have text option for when your table is ready. Went on a Saturday around 12 and the place was packed! When we were seated we were promptly waited on and served. She was on point. Overall the menu is awesome they have so many breakfast lunch and dinner options to choose from. Husband and I was running errands and decided to get breakfast at black bear diner in Cypress. Not my first time at the restaurant but first time at the Cypress location. Was happy that we had no wait time was able to be seated immediately but I'm sure it was because it was a week day and not the weekend. The food was amazing as always I love the fresh squeezed orange juice and the food was top notch. I just like to say I was hungry and wanted a good breakfast and this was it! The service was great, they were very helpful on suggestions on what to add to the meal. The ambiance was perfect, nice music playing, and comfortable places to sit. Try it for yourself!

The portions here are huge for low cost! I had the chicken fried steak omelette and it was really good! The chicken fried steak inside was crispy and full of flavor. It comes with gravy on top, I wish I asked for extra gravy being that I'm a sauce person but I added some hot sauce instead and it was perfect. We have been to this location a few times and it is my sisters favorite breakfast spot in the area. This day it was not busy until we sat down which was really nice. Our waiter was very attentive and just all around great at his job. He found a pen for my niece to use to color since they were out of crayons. The food is truly just ok but very large portions at reasonable prices.
