I've been to Black Bear Diners in several cities. It was actually mom's first time for brunch here. She not only enjoyed her Bear's Choice breakfast but, loved all things black bear from decor to the cute gift shop. We even purchased earrings and a key chain for her. Our family commonly redeems the birthday Bears Choice Breakdast for being on the emailing list. No shrinkflation at this corporate chain! My family and I went down there to have breakfast before the Fourth of July festivities. Yeah, you guys were busy. Wendy and team was so amazing. My food and the service was amazing.
Food is great, staff is friendly, but the coffee is horrible. You would think all locations would use the same coffee and if they are someone needs to calibrate the machines. The coffee at signal hill is phenomenal and delicious with great flavor, but Downey tastes like it was made by someone angry at life because they hate coffee.
Came here to grab a quick bite to eat for breakfast. I order eggs with potatoes, sausage with pancakes. It was so good but too salty on the potatoes. Will come back again.
Love everything about it. Ambiance staff food Fish & Chip was great. Cole Slaw too much dressing.. staff was very attentive & friendly which added to the enjoyment of meal.. I'll be back. Again for sure.
This food is bomb! Everything is so fresh and tasty! I love getting the breakfast special! I add the hot italian sausage and its perfect! I highly recommend it and the decor is just so cute with all the bears! Seriously, they have the nicest people working there! They are all so nice and are always checking in on us.
Great food as always, and this place specially is our favorite, the service is always excellent, special shout out to Mike. He's always really helpful:)
This is the first time I ate at Black Bear Diner and it exceeded my expectations. Me and my family a party of 5 went on Mothers Day at 9:30pm right before they were closing and there was hardly anyone in there we didn't have to wait for a table. I ordered the parmesan sourdough burger and my family ordered the Santa Maria tri tip plate and everything was delicious including the strawberry drinks and chocolate desert cake.
