In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Very good breakfast. Gotta love those giant soda biscuits. Large portions, well prepared. Ribbon hash browns were crispy and good. Over easy eggs perfect. Thick applewood bacon. I added sausage to my gravy for 99 cents. We'd go back.

Food was good, server was nice. The only downside was the fries could have served fresher.
