First time dinning here, wait wasn't too bad service was good and food came out nice and hot

Great service, it was very busy. Loved the food selection. I've always loved going to Black Bear in California and super glad they are here in Killeen as well.

Loved the atmosphere with the cabin feel of the restaurant. Waitress was very warm and inviting. Food was great and plentiful. We have been here a few times and love it!

I've been to Black Bear Diner a few times now and somehow keep dragging new people with me every visit . One of my friends who has lived here for years had never been, and after trying it she said she found herself a new favorite spot. That alone deserves some credit. I try something different every time I go, and honestly, I've never been disappointed. This place gave me faith in Chicken Fried Steak! I have never liked CFS, it's always tough, it's always mostly burnt breading, it's just never good. For some reason, I was craving it here while we were here, and I'm so glad I ordered it! It was fork tender, juicy, and delicious. The biscuits and gravy were also very good. The sweet cream pancakes were fluffy and you could taste the sweet cream in them. We were really happy with our food. Portions were large and food was great. Service was prompt, overall great experience.

Recently visited family in Killeen TX and found a great diner location. That serves breakfast all day for those that like to sleep in. The Black Bear diner in Harker Hight's is in my opinion the best breakfast location in the area. You get your money's worth of food and the service is outstanding. If your ever in the area I recommend giving this place a visit you will not be disappointed!

I ordered breakfast alot from black bear but disappointed today as toast burnt, grits had lumps like they mixed yesterday's with some of todays.
