First time trying Black Bear Diner. Hostess and waitress were very nice upon arrival. Food was good. Had the crispy chicken wrap and the Bob's Big Bear burger. Both were very tasty. They have a special on Friday for all you can eat fish which sounds yummy so next time. Had the blueberry lemonade and took home a bear claw and bread pudding. Adorable themed restaurant with cute merchandise in the front for purchase as well. Would recommend trying it if you are in the mood for American fare.
We ordered a lot of food at this place and this is only our second time being at this particular black bear restaurant, the soup was a bland taste It really didn't have any flavor and almost made me think it was out of a can and just warmed up. I would think that the server that we had had a lot of big tables. When you have lots of big tables you can't get back around quick enough to all the tables. Food was great. Big portions and prices are reasonable. My friend had chicken fried steak with extra crispy hash brown, eggs and biscuits with gravy and I had avocado toast with two eggs and french fries. Service was great. Would definitely go back and take my family.🥰
We dined there 4/4/2024 we have eaten at a lot of Black Bear diners and I always get the Hot turkey sandwich and it’s so good, but the last two times I got it at the Murrieta location it’s been awful, the Turkey looks and taste like thick cut deli Turkey, not real turkey breast! And the bread underneath tasted stale. But our service is always excellent and this night we had Sue who was great, very professional and friendly, she was very busy so I didn’t bring my disappointment to her attention, I just won’t order that again.
I loved it. Great service and amazing food! Pleasantly surprised how enjoyable the atmosphere was here. Can't wait to go back.
