We eat at Black Bear Diner all the time. All over California. I own a home near Monterey and we wanted breakfast. The food and service was fine but about halfway through our breakfast they sat a group next to us with a "comfort" animal also known as an emotional support animal. CLEARLY this was just someone who wanted to bring their dog inside. IT WAS DISGUSTING to have to eat breakfast in a restaurant with someone's animal on their lap licking themself. Find attentive waitpeople & someone easier to understand. There was no butter on our toast so we tried to get the waiters attention. He was too busy chatting with female co worker. The hash browns were under cooked AGAIN. So was the bacon. Food was cold. A another waitress had to help us by getting us butter & knocked off our beverages & 10% off the bill.
