We went here for the first time on Saturday morning. It’s busy but we didn’t have to wait too long to be seated. This diner is awesome! Friendly staff and service, huge menu and great food with fresh ingredients! I enjoyed the California Omelette which had fresh mushrooms and avocado. Loved that they didn’t use canned mushrooms!! The biscuits and gravy were fantastic too! The decor is really cute and the restaurant was very clean. We just felt happy being there. Suzie was absolutely wonderful! I did not even expect to stop and eat here; I just had to pee at the TA next door but the decor and Mt Shasta origin's of the diner made me stop and try it! Love this little spot! Come show some love!
My work requires extensive travel throughout Texas, and I wholeheartedly endorse New Braunfels as a destination. I recently experienced exceptional service and a truly remarkable breakfast there. Cynthia provided outstanding wait service, and the generous portion sizes ensured ample leftovers. This establishment is highly recommended. 👍👍👍👍👍
After seeing someone’s leftover pancakes from here, we had to try this place out. We were not disappointed at all! Susie, our waitress, was very attentive, informative, & just an all around friendly person. We had great conversation about the restaurant. I told her I was going to spread the word because I feel like not a lot of us in this area even know it’s there. Just really good home cooking and desserts that are made there fresh daily. We will definitely be back 😊
When rating restaurants, there are 3 criteria. Food, Service and Cleanliness (Google has it as Atmosphere) So if all 3 are as expected, or par for the course, I will rate the restaurant 4 Stars. If one of them is below, the other 2 need to be above to pick up the slack. That is my standard. Food: Let me get the only negative out of the way. They didn't do great with the potatoes.
