This is the best Black Bear Diner location there is. They have kept most of the old wait staff from Iron Skillet but with the Black Bear Diner decor and, of course, the taste and value you've come to expect from any Black Bear Diner. Make no mistake, this is peak Truck Stop Diner. Always a good mix of friendly and busy here. Good portions that hit the spot whether or you're headed into or out of San Antonio. Who doesn't love Black Bear Diner?!!? This is not an ideal restaurant as it sits alongside a gas station and convenience store. And the service is lacking a little - especially in the seating area. However, the food is always good. You can't go wrong with breakfast for dinner. Great every time!

Food was Amazing service was a little slow at start not complaining ambiance was great could hold a conversation and hear I do recommend coming to try with family friends or your date the food was on point I'm definitely coming back with the wifey.
I love their pancakes! Biscuits are huge! Their hoy sauces are good! Cute cabin feel is nice! Im lookinh forward to trying their dinner menu
Had breakfast the portion was enough for two people couldn't finish it the freshly orange juice machine was out of order at the time waitress was very nice
Great service. Our waitress was very friendly and professional. Large portions. Food was not expensive and was satisfactory but not outstanding.
The service was definitely above 5 stars, the food was great! The ambiance is also top notch!
Big portions...but the biscuits were so dry - even the gravy didn't help and the coffee tasted burnt...our waitress wasn't around much and wasn't very friendly

Always a pleasure to eat here. Large portions and delicious meals at reasonable prices. Friendly people too. Breakfast all day. Never had to wait to be seated. Beer and wine. Deserts are great. Attractive atmosphere. Prime rib on weekends. Several sizes of meals not one size fits all. I look forward to seeing you there.
