Black Bear Diner is a quaint, homely dining experience for family and couples alike. The service is friendly and quick. Our server Israel was pleasant and frequent. When our food arrived is was plentiful and delicious. We went for breakfast and it was an overall excellent meal.

Kind of neat place. Reminded me of some restaurants in Colorado. Ordered the chicken fried steak based on other on line reviews. It Was ok but not as fantastic as some of the reviews claimed. Everything else was very good. Service was a little slow but It was lunch hour and the placed Was packed. I will be back and Try some of their other menu items. And they make a pretty good chocolate milk shake, I will have another next visit

3.5 stars Food is decently good. Humongous portions! Joe's hobo omelette $13.89 - it was just good. The bacon was a little fatty for my liking vs being crispy. I'm a sucker for hashbrowns, but these needed to be cooked longer to be crispier. The biscuit was good (and huge!). New York Steak and Eggs $22.99 - 10oz of steak. It wasn't the most tender steak, but it was decent. Cooked medium well. The 2 biscuits were huge - basically a small loaf of bread lol. We took both to-go. The grits were actually good (and I don't even... read more

Food was great! This establishment was also very accommodating for our 2 month old twins with cradles for the table. Our server, Katherine, was such a delight and constantly checked on our table. We will definitely be requesting her as our server from now on! She was a definite 10/10 and made our experience a pleasant one.

My coworkers and I went to Black Bear Diner for a team luncheon. For many of us, it was our first time. I got the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs Breakfast portion. You do get a large amount of food for the money's worth. The server was nice and accommodating to a few of the requests made. The lunchtime rush wasn't too bad. We were able to be seated quickly and out of there in a little over an hour. Overall, I'd rate this dining experience a 8/10. I wouldn't mind returning, but it wouldn't be a top suggested lunch spot for me.
