Kudos to Edwin for some great service on 1/12/23. We love this place and can't wait to come back, but while we're here, let's get into what makes Black Bear Diner so great! So far we've only been here for breakfast, but what a breakfast it was! My husband likes their giant "Bigfoot" Chicken Fried Steak; he's eaten CFS all over Houston, and this fast became his favorite. My husband and I stopped in this morning to treat ourselves to a great breakfast. Today, our delicious meal was enhanced by the warm, kind, welcoming spirit of our waiter, Israel. The food is never a disappointment, but today it was enhanced by not only prompt, accurate service but a pleasant, personable disposition. Israel is awesome! Excellence food and service. Ashley was our waitress Sunday morning and she was SUPER! Great service, orders came out quick, and she kept our coffee cups full! Thank you Ashley!!
Everything was great! It was a relaxing environment--a different take on what a Diner is considered to look like. I had the chicken strips and fries, and they were delicious without the sauce! If it weren't for Israel, the waiter there, I would've been lost on what to get, just because of the plethora of options! The waiter was amiable, helpful, and a joy to talk too. I'm indecisive, so for Israel to help me in making a decision, speaks volumes. Thank you for your Service!!!

Our server, Quintin, is very helpful! Got us everything we asked and was able to get our orders done in a timely manner. Quintin shows a good sense of urgency and is very polite. Would love to have him as our server on our next visit!
Quentin was our server. Such a positive vibe and incredibly helpful. He's check up with us but wasn't interrupting conversation or being intrusive. He rocked. Loved the food. The hot chocolate is so worth it.
Had a very pleasant experience today at Black Bear. From the moment we arrived the staff did a great job. Our server Quintin did a fabulous job waiting on our table. It was really nice to have such a friendly and competent server. The food was good today as well so kudos to the kitchen staff also.
This was my first time trying out Black bear diner and I will definitely be coming back. The bear decor was so cute, the food was yummy and my server Edwin was great- very attentive, very kind. My 5 year old loved the happy cub cake and at the end of breakfast she received a scoop of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles that just made her day.
