The food is always great here but what really made this recent visit stand out was the service. José was the kindest most attentive waiter I've had in years. I must applaud how great of a server he was. It helped that the food matched his great attitude. If you are looking for some good priced home cooking look no further!

The service was soo good. The food was great. Jose was the one who helped us. And he was on top of it. He was really nice and when I come again.. I will ask for jose. Amazing employee and amazing service.

Came here years ago with my family for breakfast! Finally visited again to check out their evening menu offerings. Tonight, we had the Pot Roast, Chicken Pot Pie, and a side of chili with cornbread. I'd totally rate 5 stars for the service, Jose/Josue was awesome and very attentive & kind to us with our orders! Food was pretty good too! I would've loved it if my pot roast was a bit hotter in temperature but I appreciated the fresh fries & onion rings! The Chili & cornbread came out really hot too which was nice :) Would... read more

Food and service here at black bear is always firm, well, and collected. Although we had great service today by Jose, I would say to please check on your tables, we had 2 other servers check up on us before Jose got a chance to. We asked the 2 other servers that my plate was missing 2 eggs and a chicken strip. I am thankful that Jose brought out the missing pieces of my plate within a fast time . Thanks to all workers
