I like Black Bear diner for its large portions and great food. But today their French toast was really bad. It was dry. It lacked flavor And it honestly ruined my appetite. My friend however really enjoyed her food. Also, the orange juice did not taste freshly squeezed. It did taste like it came out of a bottle. It wasn't bad but it wasn't fresh squeezed which is what I wanted. Don't think I will come back to this location again.

Black Bear Diner is a chain restaurant practically in all 50 states. This is a great diner setting with food made to order. We were able to get seating right away. The service is great and the staff is friendly. They have a great selection of dishes to choose from. From traditional patty melts and sandwiches to burgers and fries. Our server cece did such an amazing job! Even though it was super busy, they handled everything with such patience and professionalism. You could tell they were working hard under pressure but still kept a great attitude. Really appreciated their service -- made our experience in Big Bear even better!

This is such a great place to stop by with friends or family for an affordable brunch, lunch, or dinner. I loved the setting -- it had a relaxing, chill vibe, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Absolutely wonderful experience at Black Bear Diner! Alex was incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. He made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His professionalism and warm attitude really stood out--he's truly an amazing asset to the restaurant. Michelle was our server here at Black Bear Diner, and she was great . The food was really good and prepared promptly. I had the New York Steak and Eggs with Hash Browns and Over Medium Eggs. The Ambiance here and at all the other BBD's is always a treasure. It feels like you're up in the mountains with all the bear art on the walls. Great coffee in cool mugs.

Great food in a beartastic atmosphere. I had the Chicken Caesar Melt, which was delicious. My husband's omelette and hash browns were delicious. And the staff were friendly and efficient. I wish they'd open one closer to Burbank!

I'm obsessed with Black Bear Diner. I have never stopped in until recently. Usually I am at the diner just down the street. I am so happy I finally gave Black Bear Diner a shot! The minute you walk in you just get such a welcoming and home-y vibe. The rustic bear/cabin theme is just so cute. The service was outstanding.
