In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. I wanted to give a huge shoutout to our waitress Kimberly, she is an absolute rockstar. When we arrived we could tell the crew was a little short-staffed, but they still did a fantastic job busting out all those external orders & serving their customers. Kimberly gave us great service and was professional & kind the entire time. There was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it, the food was great!

Our best stop for breakfast on the road to Thunderhill Raceway - regular menu choices are all there - staff are exceptionally welcoming open at 6.00am on the weekends so a good choice when we have to set up early at the track. Can't sit at the counter because of COVID regulations but their booths are very clean and comfortable. We are regular customers here and enjoy it.
