I was in the Black Bear a couple of weeks ago and after an excellent meal proceeded to forget my brand new glasses that I'd just purchased (at a cost of $750). I initially wasn't sure where I'd left them - the gas station, the hotel room? After a lot if sleuthing I figured it had to be the Black Bear and gave them a call. I got chatting with the manager - Justin - and he had me sorted in 30 seconds. I offered to drive back to Willows to which he insisted that he would ship them to me. Stopped in around 12:30pm on a Thursday afternoon. The food came out quickly and was hot. If your looking for a hearty portion for breakfast this is your spot. The inside of the establishment had different signs and things that all were Bear related. I would say that this food is definitely better than a diner and more along the lines of a restaurant. I would totally go back as I was not disappointed!

It was our First time at this black bear diner location on 7/22/2021. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated but the employees were all working hard so we didn't mind the wait. Our waitress Stephanie was very nice and took our order pretty quickly. I had the Parmesan sourdough cheeseburger (6 Oz) and onion rings my husband had the Turkey and gravy dinner. The hostess and waitress were very nice and the food was good, but one star was removed for the fact we had to wait 20 min just to order (it wasn't busy) and another star removed for the amount of flies inside. We had to work hard to keep them off our food.
