Horrible place to stay. Entirely too expensive and staff will harras you over bs. Policy states dog waste must be picked up daily. I pick my dogs waste up daily after work and still get texts about it. Along with rent going up every 3-4 months it seems and a $30 “convenience” fee. $860 a month for an uncovered spot where people constantly harass you. Pitiful. The entire park appeared to be filled by permanent workers in the oil industry. One person we talked to has been living there 1 1/2 yrs & will continue. The sites are crowded. Lots of potholes. Laundry facility yucky - wash machines dirty. Water terrible - high alkaline & hard even going thru our triple filters & water softener. We had to purchase bottled water. Excessive street noise. Would not return.
My family and I lived at buds place for almost a year. It really is a nice place to be EXCEPT for the fact that they need new management. Brenda is extremely rude and lies. Jim doesn’t want to do anything! Our grass never got mowed when I asked when he was going to mow so I can pick up our yard Brenda pretty much blew me off and said it was on us. This is our 3rd time staying here at Buds place and the only park we would stay at in Carlsbad! The biggest reason for that is the camp hosts Jim & Brenda. They seriously care about your stay and go way beyond making sure you have what you need!!! They truly made my stay feel like a home away from home. Sending a huge Thank you to them for everything they did for us!
The restrooms were VERY CLEAN! The restrooms seemed practically new and very well maintained which is definitely hard to come by in an RV park. The girls in the office were very friendly, helpful, and understanding. Although, it did seem like people lived there, we stayed two nights and were pleased with everything. It was about 20 miles from Carlsbad Caverns, which was very convenient.
