Had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Caffe Concerto Covent Garden with my mum today. This was our first time visiting here and we didn’t know what to expect. Form the moment we arrived, Sattish and another member of staff were so kind and welcoming as they seated us and prepared our afternoon tea. My first time visiting but I absolutely loved it! My friend treated me to an early birthday present and I had the Four Cheese Truffle Oil Gnocchi as well as the Tiramisu. Such a great environment, impeccable service, and really good food.
My server was Chaka. He’s was very friendly,. The service was excellent. Very welcoming. We had coffee, winter tea and desserts. Excellent.We had returned after visiting the previous day after enjoying a terrific Eggs Benedict, which was divine.
Restaurant looks fancy and isn’t badly priced. Took a while for someone to take our drinks order then a while to get the drinks. Restaurant not even overly busy!! Food arrived, looked great, expensive pizza for what you get, no fries. Was just like a frozen pizza on a sourdough base. Toasted sandwich came with fries that were cold and ciabatta was also cold. The prices are quite high. The ambiance is really nice, but when you set the prices that high, you expect the flavors to match the quality — unfortunately, they don’t. The taste and the price are inversely proportional. Still, the staff were very professional, which was definitely a positive and made the experience feel better.
