It’s a usual place that I go when in London, quite a few places scattered about the city and I generally love their deserts. This time was no different as we ordered the scones and a cake both were yummy 😋 and delicious. Service was not what I expected with table needing to be cleaned even though it was not occupied, forgot the spoon which I needed to remind them but still overall was good. Will definitely go back.

Unfortunately the seafood in the saffron seafood risotto was not fresh, the mussels were canned and flavourless, the prawns were rancid and gave me food poisoning. After sending it back I was able to swap out for a vegetarian pizza but at that point I couldn’t stomach the food as I’d felt so unwell from the first two bites of the risotto. Staff were accommodating and understanding but it’s a shame the food was a major let down.

What a lovely café! The wild mushroom arancini was delicious and my mocha was perfect! The desserts (of which there were many) looked divine. It was a nice little respite from our day out at the V&A Museum.

I was served by Sonits and he was very prompt and accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed my soup which was accompanied by warmed bread. Perfect on this brisk day in the city.

The food - The cake was good, semi-fresh (it was end of day, so...) and not overly sweet. It was on the expensive side at £11 per slice but it is London, and the location and décor more than deserved it. The service - There was only one staff on hand when I entered so it was slightly slow, but nothing too inconvenient. Ioana (the name was on the receipt) really deserves a bonus if she isn't already getting one. She served everyone with kindness and a smile despite being very busy. Plus she was knowledgeable and professional... read more
