If I could give this place a negative zero stars, I would. My mother and I moved here from Northern California and were stuck for the time being. At first glance the apartments looked clean, but that was far from the truth. The patio was filthy, the windows were dirty, the light fixtures were full of bugs, and the ceilings had visible water stains. Then came the major issue. I had a very disappointing experience at Candlewood North. The property management, especially Kari Guzman, was unprofessional and unfair to deal with. I was charged fees without any clear explanation or valid reason, and when I asked for clarification, I did not receive a satisfactory response. Communication was frustrating, and it felt like my concerns were ignored instead of being addressed. I expected transparency and fairness.
Although this apartment complex has some good features, the management is unresponsive and disorganized. Trying to get in contact with the leasing office or apartment manager is like talking to a wall. You might have an appointment set but no one will show up or return calls. This complex has a great location but lacks customer service.
Absolutely terrible apartment complex — do NOT rent here. I strongly advise against renting an apartment in this complex. There are multiple major issues that make living here a nightmare: 1. Horrible maintenance and outdated infrastructure. Everything is constantly breaking. The old plastic blinds fall apart easily — ours literally fell on our child and our pet. Why accept a tour for a move in date for March 1st if you have nothing available until August? That means it’s false advertisment on Zillow. You do not have units available. Wasting my time and my husbands time.
