I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Gastrointestinal and Liver Specialists of Tidewater. I have been a patient since 2021. Despite living in Richmond, I consistently drove over two hours for appointments because I trusted their care. I have raved about this practice in the past and recommended their providers to others who needed GI services. I have received decent care at this office. HOWEVER, the new member to their team: Liz Warness FNP-BC, is PHENOMENAL. I wasn’t rushed, dismissed, talked over, treated differently or ignored because I have some complex issues happening. She is a “let’s figure it out” type of doctor. She may look young BUT she’s definitely very intelligent. Best of all, she cares! I hope they keep her because I’m tired of having a different doctor every time I go. If she leaves, I would definitely follow!
As usual I was greeted with kindness and professionalism. My wait was minimal, notes were taken about all my concerns and symptoms. The doctor was professional and started addressing my concerns. She was very astute and didn't hesitate to act effectively eradicate the issue.
The doctor and nurse were both phenomenal. Both took the time to hear my concerns and both were genuinely concerned with making sure I was alright and going to get the proper care I needed. They each made me feel comfortable and understood. I will definitely be returning for any gastro issues I have.
This appointment was refreshing. After turning 65, my primary insurance became Medicare. My care through military clinics was personal and pleasant and here in Suffolk, VA, that has not been my experience so far. This staff were excellent from the check in to the lab. They were attentive and engaging. I was so relaxed, that this was the first time in years that my blood pressure did not elevate. I hope this kind of practice will continue among your staff.
