My last GASTRO Doctor moved back to the Boston area where he did his Residency. I decedent to see Doctor Marc C. Hines and I hit the jackpot. Dr. Hines is very nice and takes his time to listen. I no longer need any procedures but I had one area that I was very concerned about. He understands my concerns. He told me to send any prescription requests and he will take care of them. He even walked me out to the waiting room. I've been a patient of Capital Digestive Care for at least 20 years.
Dr. Jan Janson has been my gastroenterologist for many years, providing excellent care and performing both endoscopies and colonoscopies several times during that period. Throughout his busy practice he always had time for both my spouse and me. When I reached that magic age, the strenuous exams stopped, and I continued on prescribed medications. It was my first and last time at this location. Looking at other reviews, it seems like my experience was an outlier, but unfortunately it was so poor that I won't be back and I want to share this experience to be transparent for others. Reception staff was friendly and the facility was clean and those were the only two positive things. Perhaps some providers are kind, but unfortunately that wasn't my experience with the one I saw. Staff was very helpful, doctor was great took his time didn’t feel rushed, I had an incident in Europe and Dr Janson assured us that they did a great job and that he feels my recovery will go well, he’s taken extra steps in making sure with the medication’s he’s also prescribed will make my stomach not hurt, he’s scheduled for an upper GI in a month to make sure all is still on track and another follow up appointment a month afterwards. I have had nothing but amazing experiences with this facility. Although this is a very busy facility you are treated as a real person and patient, not just a number. From the reception, scheduling and procedures they follow and guide you all of the way. It was a great pleasure to see Dr. Utton who ultimately changed my lifestyle, eating habits and made me so much healthier! I give them 5 stars and highly recommend.
