My grandmother was recently admitted to CareOne in Concord MA. My family has never brought her to a rehab before so of course we had our own reservations & were incredibly nervous. Update? Everyone has been so kind and helpful! The nurses seem to really be on the ball at this location. The rehab team have been so helpful to my grandmother and have her walking / being physical to the best of her ability. If you care about your loved one, do not allow them to go to this rehab facility. My mother was there recovering from surgery and was neglected, verbally abused and belittled every single day. They did not adhere to the pain medication regimen and when she became distressed about her level of pain, they blamed her for bothering them and raising her voice. My father was admitted twice within 3 months. The staffs there did the best they could for taking care of him, despite the language barrier and his memory issue. Based on my observations, I think they know each patient very well, and tried to have the right care plan during the stay. At certain circumstances, we might not be able to take care of our love ones, I will definitely recommend Care One at Concord to those need their services
I am currently a rehab patient and find the medical staff very uncaring. It’s terrible to be so helpless and have the people taking care of you walk out while you’re asking a question or nonreacrive when in extreme pain. I would not be here had I known. The building and rooms are attractive but some empathy would be more appreciated but some of the staff here are wonderful people. Please do not bring your loved one here if they are not self sufficient as the staff seem to be too busy to assist patients with daily care. They are not proactive only reactive responding after your loved one has an accident waiting to get help to the facilities that doesn’t show up. They should remove the call buttons from the rooms because they do no response to them.
