I have been to the mountain top and I have looked around. I'm 47 male W & care1 wey is the best I've been too I've been to 2 others. Look no place is perfect and it depends on your manners please and thanks go a long way. I had a botched surgery on my ass cheek as paraplegic ("94") it's life altering. Care1 is clean they care as best they can w SSrvic's but the nurse squad and specialist's that I experienced was top notch. Look nobody is going to be happy at a nursing facility. I would strongly recommend that you do not send a loved one to this facility. My dad was sent to the Clover Wing at CareOne after emergency surgery to remove his colon, which required an ileostomy bag. He was also grieving the loss of my mom, his wife, who passed away from cancer the same week, and understandably he fell into a severe depression. My mother Carol Mahan has recently passed away. She was a resident at Care one (long term.. Aster Wing since November 8th, 2023; one month shy of two years). She had lived independently up until she broke her hip months before. After numerous falls at home and multiple short term rehab, she just wasn't steady on her feet. I really wanted to love this place. My dad has Parkinson’s disease, and was transferred here after a brief stay at SSH following a bad episode. I was wary given some of the reviews on here, but tried to put my best foot forward. From day one there were discrepancies. His first day I asked the nurse why he hadn’t yet gotten his medication (something he needs to take on a strict schedule) and she said “oh it’s okay if he misses a dose”, which it most certainly is not. Our experience with CareOne at Weymouth has been awful and deeply alarming. My grandmother was admitted five days ago for short-term rehab and physical therapy, and what she received instead was neglect. When my sister and I arrived one day, we found her lying in bed, clearly struggling to breathe - wheezing and out of breath - and no one was doing anything.
