My mom was recently at Care One in Wilmington for hospice care. The medical care and care in general she received was excellent. This is not easy work, and to a person it was done with skill, care and grace. The warmth and compassion shown to her by all at Care One truly helped her at a difficult time, and was greatly appreciated by our family. We remain gratefull.
My Mom was a resident at CareOne at Wilmington, first in the rehab and then in the long-term care unit. The nurses and aides are all wonderful and gave my Mom the best care available. They were always very attentive to her needs, they knew her well and were quick to let my family know about any changes. I would like to call out Linda, the head nurse, and Brenda, one of the aides. My dad was just discharged from CareOne Wilmington. We were so pleased with the care he received. I was honestly shocked at the wonderful people working there. Thank you all for giving my dad such wonderful care. If I ever need rehab this is definitely where I’d want to go. Thanks to all
Are there worse places that CareOne Wilmington? I am sure. But there were some shocking mistakes that one employee made that were unacceptable and perhaps even reportable, the worst being that she told us my father, who was coming home for hospice, would be transported by ambulance (on a gurney) because he was dying of Leukemia and was too weak to walk or even stand on his own. Instead, she hired a van to transport him in a wheelchair and they brought him to the house with NO WAY to get him up the stairs and into the house.... read more
My Mom has been in rehab 3 times at Care One in Willmington and I feel she has had excellent care. The staff treats her with compassion and respect. She is in good spirits when I visit. I think it is the staff around her that keeps her so positive. If you are looking for a rehab, Care One Willmington is an excellent choice. PT and OT were 6 days a week.
