I was a patient of Dr. Jonathan Gardner at the Pain Institute of Charleston in West Ashley in January 2024. During that time, I followed the required process: an initial appointment, an epidural, and a post-epidural appointment. I made sure to attend the post-epidural appointment, despite feeling great, in case I needed to see Dr. Gardner again in the future. Unfortunately, in July, my back issues returned. I went to get an back injection today and the experience was horrible. I first came on the young lady on the front was exceptional, after that I felt like I was jut sheep I'm the line. I gotta called to the back and MA at the desk was rude. No good morning no manners. As soon as another patient and the Dr. arrived the demeanor changed. This made me feel under valued. Would not recommend this place. My neurologist sent in a referral 2x, it took 4 days for them to call me back even after messages were left, they told they did not get a referral. The neurologist office sent it in again and yet this office says no referral was sent. I will look elsewhere for help.
Dr. Tony Owens, and staff are completely amazing! I’ve been going there for years. My sciatica hates when I go see them. Because it’s going to lose the battle every time. They take great care, and are genuinely concerned about me as a human-being. I’m so blessed to have found them! I’ve had injections in my lumbar area, as well as nerve ablations. I am very disappointed with how I have been treated by this place. I cannot get the manager to call me back after speaking to her at great lengths and leaving several messages for her. I have wasted so much money paying co-pays and I still do not have a straight answer on what my results are from my x-rays and MRIs and what the next steps are supposed to be. I asked to speak to the doctor (whom I have only met once during consultation) but the nurses always tell me he is not available; so I ask my questions to the nurses. Th... read more
