Terrible experience at Center for Oral & Facial Surgery. I booked with Dr. Rutner for a simple extraction but was switched to Dr. Desai without notice. She immediately pushed for a $400 3D scan and tried to pressure me into doing an implant the same day - completely unnecessary and inappropriate. After refusing, I was charged $68.37 for the consultation, even though my insurance showed I owed only $7.60. I was referred by my periodontist due to swelling after a tooth extraction. I was goven a scan where the Dr. saw that I had a bad infection.He fully explained to me the condition I was in, the consequences of leaving it untreated, and what he needed to do to help me. He was able to perform the surgery (unscheduled) that day. He made the procedure painless! I am very grateful for the care.
I’m writing this review on behalf of my sister who has recently received care from this place. After she was sent to an oral surgeon for a biopsy, we were so thankful that she was able to get in right away with this practice. Although, now after the follow up care she received, she should have just waited the week or so to go elsewhere. I fell and knocked out my front teeth. My regular dentist was on vacation. He referred me to Dr. Rutner, who's associate, Dr. Desai found the time to see me on the day before a holiday weekend. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with the greatest kindness. I have low blood pressure and was in danger of fainting. I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Desai. She was warm, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule, even performing my procedure the same day as my consultation. I felt completely at ease in her care, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. I would highly recommend Dr. Desai to anyone in need of an oral surgeon. I wish all of my providers were like Dr. Desai!
