I had an appointment scheduled to get all four of my impacted wisdom teeth out at 10:00 am this morning. This was through another nearby facility who cancelled the appointment less than an hour before, stating that the doctor wouldn't be coming in. Thankfully, I was able to not only get in for a consultation here today, but they were gracious enough to proceed with the surgery, as I had still followed fasting protocols and they had a slot available. Dr. Torin Rutner did an implant for me early in 2025; my first implant ever (I'm 70)! He was professional, clearly explained the process, the number of visits and time frame until his part was completed. He answered all my questions and was personable enough that I felt I could trust him for a procedure that required skill & precision. In January I was sent to Center for Oral & Facial surgery by my primary dentist who had a concern about a bump on my gum. Upon my visit Dr. Desai seemed pleasant and friendly and did not seem overly concerned about my “bump”, but she did want to perform a biopsy for safe measure, which I agreed. She did notice that I recently had an implant and that I was also missing another molar. I wish i could say I had a good experience. I had my wisdom teeth removed here and throughout the process and the following aftercare I am appalled by the lack of proper communication about and during recovery. Any of my concerns during aftercare were dismissed and questions not even answered. Ill speak primarily on this follow up, as its most recent in my mind. I had about 45 min wait for an appointment that ended up lasting
I was able to make an appointment very quickly for an urgent issue. Billing info was provided prior to the procedure and their biller went above and beyond regarding creating a payment plan. Dr. Rutner was able to answer all of my questions and even answered questions I had about recovery early on a Saturday. I had a lot of pain after the procedure, but that’s just the nature of the disease and treatment.
