Anticipating an appointment with a new physician has always been marked with great fear. So it was today, right until I spoke with the receptionist. Trepidation down by 30 points, at least. Then came a simple ultrasound. Fear crept up by 5, until Į met the sonographer. Uneasiness slid down to 70. Dr Harris and the nurse, both of whom explained carefully, without loftiness, their findings. Dread fell to a double digit negative.
