Been here a month I love the calm and peaceful setting the grounds are outside. I been here for a month and the people here are very friendly. I love that they have a heated pool in the back but its closed because of Covid. Family and everyone is welcomed. I just wish that they would heat the pool in front. Laundry facilities on hand a plus. It takes quarters or a credit card or debt. God bless everyone here. Elaine

Good while it lasted If you are moving to the Antelope Valley for any reason the Number one place to look at is Chaparral Apartments. Its green park like atmosphere, quiet neighbors and nice sized apartments make coming home feel like a vacation. I've lived here for about a year and a half. The upstairs neighbor recently moved out after 5 years. Close to freeway, entertainment and shopping this is the perfect commuter apartment. I am not renewing my lease only because I am moving in with someone special in my life and this i... read more

Everything I Need Then Some Only two weeks in. No complaints for this awesome community. I could not have been more fortunate than to land in so great of a spot. The price though! Same as what I paid for a "studio" back East. Difference? Oh more space and a layout where the kitchen is not in bed with me. Closet is its own Universe. Unlimited access to a well equipped EVERYTHING WORKS fitness room pool spa surrounding by REAL Palm trees laundry room that is designed so it's up to me whether or not I feel like dipping in my $7... read more

Pros and cons from a six year resident I have been living at Chaparral for six years. Here are the pros and cons. Pros: - Maintenance is prompt & courteous. Cons: - Crime: The facility is in a bad area of Palmdale. Check the crime map on NewsBreak. - Neighbors have had tires stolen from cars. - Packages are regularly stolen from front porches. - Aggressive homeless people around the garbage bins. - Expect a max rent increase of 5% + inflation every year. Budget accordingly.

Poor maintenance The laundry drier hasn’t worked in two months the manager states no one told her , that’s a complacent response. The lawn and pool looks nice That’s what will catch you . I was warned before I came, I ignored and I have to go through this. Very Poor experience.

You Bleed Money I lived here for a couple of years until the regular increases of $60 a month for a new lease became $135 a month. The $60 a month felt unreasonable but I was tired of moving so I paid them for a couple of years. Then, the $135 a month increase hit and I asked the desk girl if there was a deal available because the rent increases were eating up my pay raises. She just smiled. Then, I asked if the increases have anything to do with me not being in a hurry to leave and her smile widened. So that was it. I left.... read more

Bad business practice and no sense of community The apartment is ok. Maintenance is responsive. But people are always moving out because of extremely high rent increases for lease renewal. Average 110-150$ increase. No familiar faces because a handful of people are moving out every couple of weeks followed by one or two people moving in. I have talked to everyone who moved out and it is the same concern: no steady neighbors, unrealistic rent increases for lease renewal and 60 day notice for moving out.

Looks Are Deceiving This complex is not all it claims to be... all this property management cares about is receiving your rent each month, it does not care one bit about its residents. When you move into this complex on the advertised special you are not told that each and every year your rent will be increased by an unfair (not legal) amount. This property is infested with GIANT cockroaches and ants. Nothing works properly, meaning the air/heating. You are charged water, sewer, and trash each month. This complex uses water ... read more
