Yesterday afternoon my wife arrived in the ER. She told the medical staff that she hadn’t had her prescribed medicines for the day at 2 PM. After speaking with the attending staff multiple times, she finally took her own meds, that she had with her about 9 PM. However, she is diabetic, and because her insulin has to be refrigerated, she didn’t have that with her. The nurses on duty at 6am 2-26-26 tried to say that I pushed one of them. That is incredibly untrue. I moved past one who tried to body block me from a bathroom. I needed to relieve myself and she was attempting to prevent me from using a bathroom and instead insisted I use a bottle. That felt inhuman and very unprofessional. She then attempted to use the police against me. They quickly realized that wouldn't work and let me walk by them. Very very very poor behavior from someone who is supposed to be doing good.
Omg this hospital is amazing !!!! Screw jackson hospital ! The entire staff was outstanding ! From the get go, we never even sat in the lobby ! They took us right back!!!!! They were so kind and listened to every word ! THey gave us a nice room showed my son the remote to the TV, and gave us both a warm blanket and gave me a cup of ice and a soda!!! Like what?? THE BEST, HANDS DOWN! They saved my life. Every single person in the building is knowledgeable in their area, pleasant, and always has time for you. The place is always clean, the food is awesome. I never have to wait on the phone very long. Nurses are sweet, surgeons are confident, administrators are too helpful. I'm certain there is no other hospital in the world like Chelsea hospital. I would literally live there if they let me.
I have had 2 surgeries in the outpatient wing. 1st thyroid removed and the woke me in recovery gave me a pain shot 1 pill then sent me home with hardly any information about my condition and post op care. The 2nd was emergency kidney stones and stint removal. This time my husband and I both asked a ton of questions. Again I woke up to what is like trying to give birth to having a c section.
