I have to say the person I spoke with was the least helpful, least informed and clearly did not care if she got any business at all. I would not use this company for title work or a real estate closing unless there wasn't any other option. And since there are a ton of great ones. HARD PASS - Go elsewhere -

I used Chicago Title for a home closing in 2024, the closing was ultimately fine - no issues, but obtaining cost information was difficult and the service was not friendly. I called recently to ask about fees for a refinance closing and it was the same. I will be using a different title company this time.

Very unprofessional experience. The closer Jordan Boehm gave us the wrong amount due even after I questioned him multiple times the day before closing and later the day we were told to bring an additional $2,000 check to the office. He also told us the day before closing that a cashier’s check under $50,000 was fine and I also confirmed the rest will be wired, but on the closing day the company manager refused to accept it, which makes me think Jordan does not fully understand the title company’s policy. The gold standard for title insurance companies. Great staff, accommodating attitude, attention to detail, quick follow-up, and a very polished professional approach. I've worked with a number of companies throughout Illinois and in various other states, CTIC in Champaign sets the benchmark for their industry. Big thumbs up.
