I stopped into this branch today and was immediately welcomed with genuine smiles and a team ready to help. I was greeted right away by the branch manager at the front, followed by a kind compliment and prompt, excellent service. I’m truly looking forward to building a new relationship with this credit union, the branch team, and their manager (name not listed for safety reasons) as well. As someone who works in the banking industry, I can say this experience did not disappoint—they were outstanding.
Spent a ton of time doing an application with Citadel - over 3 weeks of providing documentation as they requested. They were not transparent throughout the process and ended up declining my loan with very little justification after being told very different information from the Business Relationship manager. I have great credit and was set back by a sudden denial from underwriting with very little reasoning. If they were up front it wouldn't have been an issue. They strung me along instead of being transparent.
I’ve been with citadel since 2015, and they have always been so helpful. At the West Chester office, Liz has continuously provided exceptional customer service. She will call people over when she sees they have been waiting in line, or just ask about our day, and is so kind to our daughter. We finally opened a bank account for her, and Liz was phenomenal, and engaged with our 16 month old. The tellers have always been great too, and drive thru. Friendly, professional, and complete service. If you prefer being helped by a real person rather than always online or now Ai, then over to the West Chester, Pa.. office.
They do not make banking easy, in fact they lack a significant amount of consistency, everyone has conflicting information, they do not provide the necessary information to conduct transactions, they do not offer Zelle or any other option to pay electronically, they do offer a wire transfer for $15 each. Find another credit union that actually provides assistance.
