I know it sounds weird that I made coming to a Citadel a priority on this trip, but I had my reasons. Since they discontinued shared-branching with local credit unions where I am across the country, this makes it most difficult withdrawing cash in larger amounts (this usually goes right to my mechanic) in addition to other business matters I miss out on while in a branch. Wonderful credit union! Interest Rates very competitive! I plan to move all my banking to Citadel!
Had an easy first time friendly service here today. Walked in with a new account question and got it answered plus my account set up with ease! The tellers are very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The actual bank itself is very nice inside !
I have banked with citadel never had any problems ,but recently I had a horrible experience where I added a large amount of money to my credit card which was then held Because of hold the hotel put on my money. During that time period citadel decided they would reduce the amount of money my credit card was allotted so now I will not be able to pay my bills because citadel took the money I paid toward my credit card and said you no longer have this credit on your account. Avoid at all costs. This credit union used to be good but has really gone downhill in the past few years. They got rid of tellers, drive through and expect you to do everything through their slow, crappy ATM screens now. Every dang time I go to this branch there is an issue like the drive thru ATM isn't working, the lot is closed down or some other BS. We've gotten hacked like 4 times in 2 years too, which seems to be an awfully high rate. Sorry, but Citadel is a giant FAIL. Do NOT bank with them!
Whatever awful trial system they have going on here is a huge fail. There's no drive thru tellers anymore so when I go to deposit checks into the bank and their new system can't read the amount of my check I have to cancel the whole transaction and park and bring my child in with me. It's very inconvenient when I go after I'm done work and the bank is closed and I cannot deposit my check. I'm afraid of how many people lost their jobs over this computer system as well.
