I am extremely disappointed with Citadel Credit Union after an incident that never should have happened. I was recently the victim of a crime where my purse was stolen out of my vehicle in Berks County on 02/04/2026. I immediately did everything I was supposed to do: I notified law enforcement, alerted all of my banks, canceled all credit cards, placed fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, and took proactive steps to protect my identity. I had a Great experience with this brand. Staff members are awesome they are professional work attitudes and treat well to Customers. Especially I recommend for Mrs Chanelle who worked with me renew and active my account.She was so nice and I had no problem with my accounts.Also the Manager, She also helped my accounts. When I was in the US Army, you had my vehicle repossessed while I was deployed to the Middle East. Even your coordinator who helped return said your company was quick and out of line to do so. This is also against the law by the way— the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA).
They decided to charge an extra $2.4k onto my auto loan because my insurance documents didnt have them listed as the lender. They never bothered to call me beforehand to discus the matter because "I dont have enough time to be making calls like that" - Brian Kibbler. With one phone call I couldve gotten my insurance documents situated in about 10 minutes, but something tells me this is just how these folks do business. Be very cautious, dont give them any reason to charge you extra and read the fine print!
My partner and I made an appointment with Denny to discuss options for a mortgage to purchase a rental property. My partner both left a voice-mail and sent an email to confirm, neither of which was returned. Dennys had said he would be in all day so we went to see him. When we arrived we were told that both Denny and the loan officer were not in that day. Terrible service.
