Columbia Academy EMS has given my daughter an amazing Kindergarten education. The teachers are very skilled at meeting each student where they are and allowing each student to progress at their own pace without rushing those who need more time or holding back those that pick concepts up quickly. The specials teachers (Music, physical education, Spanish, Art, Library/Media) are exceptional and the in-school administration is welcoming, knowledgeable, and truly in their careers because they love helping students succeed. We moved to CA after fighting HCPSS for years to get my kids support. In the first 2 weeks my kids had learned more then in years at HCPSS schools. My son went from hating school and asking me every day if it was a weekend yet to loving school and asking when it would be a weekday every weekend. The Admin is great and works with the families to get things done in the best way for each student. Hello I went to this school 6-8 and just left a few months ago. When I tell you this school sucks it really does. The teachers are Horrible, there racist, and there's a lot of bullying this school does not have enough resources to even be a school that's why there struggling as it is.

We haven't even started yet and they clearly prioritize money over little ones. I'm sure some teachers are nice but our interactions with administrators have been difficult. Tuition is nearly double average cost in the area, so we assumed for the price it would be fantastic care. I sent my son there because all the other preschools that looked decent to me at school tours were full at the time. Columbia Academy was such a disappointment! High turnover rate, daily use of interns and temporary helpers, and terrible management (overcharge and late fees)! I withdrew him before the semester was over.
