Great place. Family member got IOP and PHP treatment at this facility in Plano and got so much better Miss McKenzie is great she is young but has the needed knowledge to deal with teenagers. Chrystal at the front desk was very kind and always helpful all of them at the office I have no complain with this facility in fact I’m very thankful! 1 star out because of billing department they never answer my calls or reply back also the meds prescriber would go days without sending the refills to my pharmacy. Luke is absolutely amazing! My son has done a comeback. I am getting my kid back god bless him. The phone system is less to be desired but Crystal helped me as well. Im greatful
I am writing under a different name to protect my privacy (in case Connections attempts to claim I am not in their patient records). I participated in the IOP program last year, and unfortunately, it was a complete waste of money. The group was led by Minal, who, in my experience, lacked the skills necessary to effectively facilitate group therapy. Awful, awful, awful!!!! I'm 62 years old and been in therapy since I was 26. I expected to see a psychiatrist but was net with a nurse practitioner who proceeded if I was a confirmed addict. Then he refused to prescribe me one of the meds I had been on for over 20 years!!! I WILL NOT be back! It was a waste of my time.
IOP and PHP groups didn't help me at all. It seems like they hire new grads to run the groups and they just dont have the life experience or experience at all to be running groups, that can be difficult to manage. I seemed to know more about cognitive distortions, trauma responses, and DBT than she did. I really struggled to get anything out of it. A book would have been better. Sorry.
