Horrible experience with this firm. The paralegal that helped put my formal discovery together was great. Kelsey was my attorney but was not proactive and I never felt she was in the fight to help me. She was rude and seemed to lack ambition. I don’t know if she was distracted with her own wedding but all she did was bill out hrs without any results. I hired Cordell & Cordell expecting a firm that actually advocates for fathers. That wasn’t my experience at all. From the start, I felt like I was fighting my own attorneys more than I was getting help. I was consistently pushed to lower my expectations—specifically being told that pursuing 50/50 custody wasn’t realistic and that I should give up on it. That’s not why you hire an attorney. Cordell & Cordell has been a blessing to work with, despite having their own busy schedules they have made time for me and keep me updated every step of the way! My only critique is that they dont always put down the current schedule on the client portal but that also could just be the website itself having troubles. Obviously as lawyers they cannot tell me if or when I will win or lose my case but they are due diligent in keeping me up on what things are going to happen.
