We have been customers for many years and had good experiences - the staff and drivers were friendly and responsive and generally on time. HOWEVER, our garbage was not picked up for three weeks. We found out from neighbors that they no longer pick up on 'side streets'. I would understand that, but no one told us a thing. We tried calling multiple times. No one ever answers. This business is absolutely horrible and has horrible customer service. I used the portal 3 times to leave messages about the trash truck going well off the road in our neighborhood over and over leaving huge ruts in yards and side ditches, they have ruined 2 culvert pipes and the roads are way big enough to turn around, concrete, landscaping, and other very large trucks are in this neighborhood all the time with no issues, as well as leaking hydraulic fluid all over several times. County waste has not been picking up consistently since December of 2020 in our community. They have missed my house 3 times since Christmas and the other few weeks they showed up I had to call to have them come because they missed their day. They will not allow bags outside of the trash can however I now am behind 3 weeks. They refuse to credit for the missed week. Every time I call it’s an hour and a half wait times. County Waste raised rates on residential trash service for the Scottsville area twice in 2018 for a total of ****% increase in a calendar year. They provided no prior notice of either price increase in writing or otherwise. Customer service representatives disputed factual numbers that I quoted to them on their price increases (****% in 2018) and in general slinked around any responsibility for the increases, telling me that they were so sorry I was having issues with prices being increased without notice and by double digit... read more

I was a customer of County Waste for 3 years and over that period of time they raised their prices 85% from $13 a month in 2014 to $24 a month in July 2017. I cancelled my service last Monday, 7/17 effective after my pick up on 7/19. I was told they would pick up my trash on that Wednesday then the empty cans. When I got home on Wednesday 7/19 the cans were still there. They didn't pick up the cans on Thursday or Friday so I call again Friday and was told the woman was putting in a pickup order for Saturday, and again there ... read more
