cost of living The apartment is maintained to adequate standards. Major and safety issues are addressed by management quickly. There is a pool on site, though I have not used it, the pool comes in handy on hot summer days. If you're looking for a good value, apartments in Hawthorne area will suffice. Courtyard apartments the location is good the place sits on a Main Street surrounded by all kinds of fast food, and bus routes. Also just a 2 minute walk to a shopping center with a grocery store. The apt itself is very quite kid friendly, however there is no pets allow. The utilities are included into your rent which is a HUGE plus!! There is a pool that is kept clean year around with a safety gate. Run. In the one year I lived here they changed managers 4 times. They fixed absolutely nothing in my apartment even though I told them countless times. They also hired someone to come and kill the roaches but the following week we were infested, again. And don't get me started on the mice infestation we also had. Unfortunately I couldn't run away screaming because I signed a one year lease. Also in one year the rent has gone up 84$......
