RecommendedOn a cold October day my sister and I ventured out to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail. The guys at Creeper Trail Bike Rental were very helpful in choosing and adjusting our rental bikes, talking us through the trail challenges and offering advice for the ride. Our shuttle driver to the top was friendly and informative. We had a wonderful downhill ride through the beautiful fall colors. This is a wonderful way to experience nature without exerting too much effort!
STAY AWAY! BIKES ARE IN TERRIBLE SHAPE. We rented 6 bikes and every single one was broken in some way. Chains kept slipping and coming off, gears didn't work, derailleur was upside down, pedal was broken and ended up coming off, brakes were clamped down on the back wheel making it hard to pedal (turned out the wheel was bent). Our group of 9 had a cyclist and a very handyman in it, so they knew what they were doing and worked on the bikes so we could at least get down the hill.
