The bad reviews all make sense now! All we needed was the bottom weather strip seal of a 16' garage door replaced. I figured it's just replacing this small part how can they mess that up? Well I was wrong. Our door has the track that the seal needs to be slipped in on one end and pulled all the way through to the other end. I'd ordered a few different ones online but had to return them bc they didn't fit the track but assumed a garage door company would have no prob finding the right one. We called Dan about a broken oven igniter, and although he doesn’t service our area, he was extremely helpful over the phone talking through solutions and things to try or other companies to call. He gave great advice and his time. If we lived in his serviceable area we would definitely use his company and recommend others give him a call.

We got our springs replaced on one occasion, which went well. Went with an opener replacement, out of the options available we went with the "commercial" option. After having the unit successfully installed, we noticed a vibration from the motor on the lifting unit. Dan's, after being made aware of the issue sent a technician out to diagnose and possibly resolve vibration issue. After diagnosis, it was determined that the unit may be the problem. Dan’s Overhead Doors is one of the only family owned garage door repair places in the Coralville area. Highly recommend them after our experience today! They texted 20 minutes before arriving and got right to work, very knowledgeable and friendly. He replaced the torsion spring in about 15 minutes and made a minor repair with spare parts he had on hand. They had my credit card on file and sent me an email invoice. Thank you for your help today!
